Question: What should i read about, before choosing a diet?

I admit I don't know much about nutrition, except for some thumb rules like protien is good, iron is good for your eyes..and stuff like that, basically stuff i have overheard people saying, but not sure why.. Where can I start educating myself about nutrition, digestion, burning calories and stuff like that Can someone please fill me in Thank you

Read this cite i know it is long but if you want to know what to eat just go to the bottom and it will tell you how much and what to eat before and after an exercise etc. it will also show you a good work out plan: stewsmith.com/ 45dayplan.pdf
