Question: On the clear liquid diet, can i....?

I'm having laparoscopy tomorrow morn and at 2 today I have to start taking the pills to clean my bowels. I'm on a clear liquid diet and wondered if I could make chicken noodle soup and strain the noodles, chicken, and actual "stuff " out of the juice and drink the juice. Plain chicken broth in the can tastes horrible, so I want the good stuff. Any idea if this is OK? My dr's office probably won't call me back til late today, so there's no point in calling. Yes, you can do that. As long as all of the noodles and veggies and "stuff " are out of it. You want only the juice. You can also have plain jello with no fruit in it. Any liquid that you can see through. Jello counts because it can be heated to turn into liquid. (although you don't have to do that) You can eat it cold. You cannot have ice cream, though, because you can't see through it.

A clear liquid diet is any liquid that you can see through. You would just have to make sure you strain it well.
